Activision Delays The Launch Of The New Call Of Duty Seasons

Activison has made the choice to delay all of the new seasonal updates coming to their current Call Of Duty titles. This week was supposed to be a major week for the franchise as they had two new seasons on the way that would be introduced both on PC and console, as well as mobile. But in a tweet sent out this week, the company decided to postpone those seasons in light of the protests happening in America in relation to the death of George Floyd.

While we all look forward to playing new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Call Of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time. We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call Of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates. Right now it's time for those speaking up for equality, justice, and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you.

The company is following suit with others who have chosen to postpone releases and other forms of entertainment to bring attention to the discussion currently happening in our country. Even if you don't believe it impacts you, what is happening affects the country and even the world we live in today. Especially with, as of the date we are writing this up, the President said he would use military force if necessary. Considering the Call Of Duty series has, for the most part, focused on the military throughout the years including to present day, it only makes sense they would want their players and fans to take notice of the protests and the situation we find ourselves in as a nation. No date has been set as to when they'll release the content, but at the moment that matters little.
