Nintendo Reveal A Special Pokémon-Themed Nintendo Switch Lite
Along with the news this morning about the Nintendo Switch Lite, we learned the company will also be releasing a special Pokémon-themed version. The "Zacian and Zamazenta Edition" as it's being called is a special white version with neon blue and red coloring on the controls and a special design on the back to match the upcoming releases of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Sadly, neither game will come with this special version, nor does it appear any special combo packs are being created for this. It's a stand-alone unit for the same $200 price as the others, but with a cool Pokémon design to it. You can read more about it below as we wait for it to go on sale on September 20th with the others.
"November is shaping up to be a big month for Pokémon fans, with the arrival of this special hardware followed by the launch of the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games one week later," said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. "The Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition will be a great gift for Pokémon fans who want to play the latest games on the go."
In Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, players will embark on a new adventure through the Galar region, where they'll catch, battle and trade newly discovered Pokémon and uncover the mystery behind Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta. The Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games are available Nov. 15 for all Nintendo Switch systems.
