Pokemon is a media franchise owned by Japanese video game company Nintendo and created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996. Pokemon includes creatures called "Pokemon" that humans can catch, train, and battle. It has since gone on to become the highest-grossing media franchise of all time. The name "Pokemon" is a romanization of the Japanese brand, "Poketto Monsutaa," which means "pocket monsters." The Pokemon franchise is divided into several different media, including video games, trading cards, animated television shows and movies, and more. Some of the most popular forms of Pokemon include the card game, Pokemon Go, and the online battles in Pokemon Showdown. Whether you're a total beginner or a longtime fan, there's something for everyone in the world of Pokemon!
And as a souvenir, event-themed digital stickers can be collected at the participating LEGO Store PokéStops, so fans can share the crossover fun with friends in-game.
