Running Through Zombie Hell in Into The Dead 2 at PAX East 2019
Versus Evil brought a few surprises to PAX East with them, including a Nintendo Switch version of Into The Dead 2 to try out. If you're not familiar with this game, this is a mobile zombie survival title developed by PikPok in New Zealand. The premise is that you weave back and forth as a timer goes down, taking out zombies in your path while also pushing to survive with your family in tow. You can pick up guns as you run and some small bits of ammo, but the main idea is to bob-and-weave through the undead in order to survive to the next round.
The game plays really well on a Nintendo Switch and I had few complaints about how I was able to play. It took a little getting used to on a controller as I've only ever played the game on a smartphone, but once I got the pattern down on how to move while firing, it was pretty easy to navigate my way to the end and survive, but just barely. Into The Dead 2 will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop sometime in the Summer of 2019.
