SCUM's Christmas Patch Comes With Goodies As Well As Issues

You might want to think twice about updating SCUM this week, as the new holiday update comes with a price you may not be willing to pay. The bright side of the new update, which you can see all the details about here, is that you get a few new additions and costumes and other materials, but the big addition is fortifications. Basically, extra protection for you and others on your team while also having a little security that others can't just barge in. However, it comes with a price, int hat in order to run the updated content you have to do a clean wipe of all your saved games. Meaning you'll have to start from scratch with all your gear gone.

If you're a player who hasn't done much in the game, or doesn't like your place and status in it, or doesn't really care, this is perfect. You have a great excuse to hit the reset button. But if you've been busting your tail in SCUM and have worked yourself to the point of being in an awesome place, that's a real bummer. We can't tell you to do anything with your particular game as everyone plays different, but if you don't want to lose your stuff, maybe wait for a patch that won't force you to start over.
