The Marshmello Fortnite Concert Was a Weird Look at Community Concerts

Marshmello threw a totally free concert on the Fortnite servers last night, and the excitement and actual activity were weirdly fun. If you missed it, you can check out part of the experience in the Twitter video below, but essentially you logged into a server and at 2pm EST, and everyone got sent to the concert. There you got treated to a pretty decent stage and the new Marshmello skin playing and dancing in the middle, with you being able to dance with everyone else who got swooped up with you. The entire event was an interactive playlist with some special animations from the DJ to make it look like it was live in the Fortnite universe, and for most everyone who attended, they enjoyed the hell out of it.

Right now, there are people having debated on Twitter and Reddit about what this means for the future of concerts and live performances and interactive functions. We're kinda curious what you think of the concert. Did you attend and what did you like or dislike about it? If you didn't, what drove you away (besides now owning the game or being around when it happened). If you're curious, you can see the full concert below recorded by Polygon.
