Ubisoft Will Let You Play Far Cry 5 For Free This Weekend
In case you've had a need to take out religious extremists in Montana lately, Ubisoft is letting you play Far Cry 5 free this weekend. The company revealed the details today that you will be able to play it on UPlau on PC starting on Friday. This will be the primary game, none of the DLC or special content that's been added over the years. But honestly, there's so much to do in the game that you won't have time to think about it over 48 hours. Unless you're super gifted and can beat in in two days with 100% completion level, then we'd love to watch that happen. Best of luck to those of you headed north this weekend.
Far Cry 5 is free for PC via UPlay PC from May 29 until May 31, so pack your bags for Hope County, Montana. Hope County is the perfect place to take in some picturesque landscapes, do some serene fishing, or sic a massive bear named Cheeseburger on unsuspecting cultists. Fanatical doomsday cult The Project at Eden's Gate, led by the charismatic Joseph Seed, have taken over Hope County, and now have their sights set on you. To liberate the county, you'll have to lead a resistance, destabilize the cult's operations, and take out the entire Seed family before confronting Joseph.
Pre-load starts on May 27, and if you want more Far Cry 5 after the free weekend ends, you can purchase the Standard or Gold editions of the game for up to 75% off. You can also pick up the Deluxe Pack, Season Pass, and individual DLC's for 50% off. Any progress you make during the free weekend will carry over to the purchased version of the game, so you can pick up right where you left off.
