Analyst Estimates That Star Wars: Battlefront Has Sold Nearly 12 Million Copies
Star Wars: Battlefront certainly has its detractors, but it also has a massive following who adore the title. I know a fair amount in both camps. Perhaps unsurprisingly though, what with Star Wars fever at its peak, it's not surprising that the game has done well.
According to an interview with analyst Michael Pachter at Fortune, he is estimating that the game has sold around 12 million copies since launch., 6 million in November and 6 million in December. This comes to a total $660 million total for the game which is not bad going at all.
Indeed, most indications are that the game is doing quite well. I'm generally pleased with that, as I do think it is a good game, with unique qualities. I do hope DICE are incentivised to really push on and make meaningful changes in future editions to really knock this out the park though.
