The Awful Gaston Courts Belle In New Beauty And The Beast Picture
While Gaston isn't about taking over the world or magically gaining power, I still think he is one of the most terrifying villains in Disney's repitoir. He's an entitled man baby, who turns dangerous at the first sign that he isn't getting his way. That can be a pretty real concept right now.
We haven't seen much of him in the live action adaption of Beauty and the Beast yet, just a few cut aways, but you can get a good look at him here. Empire have shared this look at the character, where he seems to be trying to woo Belle.
Luke Evans who is playing the character added:
He gets as dark as any Disney character could possibly get. This is a man who, for the first time in his life, hasn't got what he wanted.
I hope we get to see him in action soon. He's a key player and probably one of the few aspects we haven't seen in action yet that is central to the story.
