New Behind-The-Scenes Video For Thor: Ragnarok
We have a new behind-the-scenes video for Thor: Ragnarok and this one comes from ET Online. We get to see the set of Asgard, which is apparently the size of a football field, along with some awesome behind-the-scenes shots. Star Chris Hemsworth talked about the big title fight between himself and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and how that was one of the things he was the most excited for in this sequel:
"Before [the fight] was written in the script, [the movie] was centered around it, and I thought, 'Whoa I'm in!'"
The other thing that everyone seems to be focusing on is the fact that Thor gets a haircut in this movie. Since we've known him, Thor has had long hair, but they all made the creative decision to cut it this time around. While everyone is looking for deeper meaning in the change Hemsworth reveals that it was entirely practical:
"He does get a hair cut. There's no huge explanation, really. It's just me going, 'I don't wanna wear the wig every day.' It takes 2 hours to put on! We kind of just run with the creative license there. Give you a different look, you know?"
There doesn't have to be a big explanation for every little detail in these movies. Black Widow and Wanda have both had slightly different hair in each movie, and no one has asked them about it. It's just hair.
We also hear about how Hemsworth and his co-star Tom Hiddleston make sure to set aside a ton of time to meet fans and especially kids which is just awesome.
Summary: Imprisoned, the mighty Thor finds himself in a lethal gladiatorial contest against the Hulk, his former ally. Thor must fight for survival and race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home and the Asgardian civilization.
Thor: Ragnarok, directed by Taika Waititi, stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Idris Elba, and Mark Ruffalo. It will be released on October 24th in the UK and November 3rd in the US.
