Criminal Minds Star Suspended From Series
Thomas Gibson has been on TV for a very long time now. First from 1997 to 2002 as Greg Montgomery on the sitcom Dharma & Greg and since 2005 as Aaron Hotchner on Criminal Minds. Gibson has also done a few jobs in between including voicing Deathstroke in the Son of Batman animated movie. He seems like a very calm and steady person.
So its a little surprising that Deadline is reporting he has been suspended for one or more likely two episodes this season after getting into a physical altercation (possibly kicking) a writer-producer of the show. Gibson is being written out of the episodes (likely episodes 3 and 4 of the season) and plans for him to direct episodes this season have been nixed. He has directed six episodes previously.
The whole thing is being dealt with by human resources and his continued involvement in the series is being reviewed.
