Elmer Bernstein 'Ghostbusters' Score Gets Remastered Vinyl, Digital Release
2019 marks the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters, classic film with multi-generational appeal. We're pretty excited for this particular item coming for the anniversary celebration- a remastered album release of Elmer Bernstein's iconic score! Not only will the score be available on vinyl, but it'll be the first time Sony Music has released the tunes on digital.
This upcoming collection will have a new remaster of the original tracks, new artwork, liner notes from Elmer's son Peter Bernstein, and FOUR PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS.
"As one of the original orchestrators on Ghostbusters, it has been very satisfying and also very moving to work on this soundtrack release 35 years down the road," Peter Bernstein said of the release. "It is a great movie with great music and we had a whole lot of fun creating it. I am very pleased to see it released in its original form."

We're not sure who will be handling the score for Jason Reitman's upcoming Ghostbusters 3 for Sony, but we've got some ideas of who we'd like to hear continue the franchise's tunes. (*cough* Bear McCreary *cough*)
Reitman's film currently has a release date of July 10th 2020, and we'll of course keep you updated on that picture as well as more 35th anniversary Ghostbusters goodness.
