Mark Hamill Joins Stephen Colbert to Talk Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Stephen Colbert is known for being a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, but it seems that's not the only epic that he's into. Colbert let his Nerd Flag fly when Mark Hamill showed up to promote the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The interview segment is pretty long and covers everything from a play Colbert saw Hamill do years ago to his work as The Joker, a mention of his time as the Trickster, how much he loves being part of the Star Wars universe, and the hate mail he received about cauliflower.
In what may be one of the most unique questions, Colbert asks Hamill if he ever wished he could've seen Star Wars as a fan. Hamill admits he has, that so many of the people he talks to tell him how much the film changed their lives, gave them purpose, or even brought them together with someone special. And before he got the role, what he had seen of he script made him want to see it whether he was in it or not.
Along with the interview, Colbert and Hamill perform a skit supposedly dealing with the time between movies. There are so many humorous Easter eggs in the bit that every fan should enjoy it.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens December 15th.
