One Of The Original Creators Of X-23 Will Be Involved In Her Solo Movie

Yesterday we reported that Fox has decided to move forward with a Logan spinoff starring Laura, AKA X-23. James Mangold, who has directed the last two Wolverine solo movies, said he was working on the script. It turns out he's going to have a helping hand with that. Craig Kyle, best known for being one of the original creators of X-23 with Chris Yost, will be involved in the film.

When news broke that the movie was happening, Kyle posted to Twitter and confirmed his involvement:

It's pretty neat that they're involving the original team going forward. It says a lot about Mangold who has always given the impression that he wants to create a world that feels accurate to the fans. He did that with Logan, absolutely, so now it's time to see if he can pull it off again with this Laura movie. Laura was, without a doubt, the breakout star of one of the best movies of the year, and to see more of her on screen is going to be awesome.

Kyle also has a screenwriting credit for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.
