Sony Has Now Sold 20.2 Million PlayStation 4s To Customers
The PlayStation 4 continues to defy expectations as Sony have now announced that the console's sold 20.2 million units through to customers as of March 1st.
Sony Entertainment Boss Andrew House had this to say in a press release:
We are so grateful for the enormous support from PlayStation fans worldwide, and we are truly humbled that gamers around the globe have continued to select PS4 as the best place to play.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to deliver unique and interactive entertainment experiences powered by the network and the PS4 system's deep social capabilities.
This number is huge and proves that the console market is expanding rather than contracting as was predicted before new gen consoles launched. By the end of the PlayStation 4's run, it;s not impossible to envision it pushing past the 100 million units sold. We got some time to go before then, but the console's numbers continue to impress.
