A 'Vikings' Funeral At San Diego Comic-Con

Madeline Potts saw something burning at San Diego Comic-Con. She whipped out a camera.

In honor of its upcoming 5th season, History's Vikings brought a proper Viking funeral to SDCC. The event featured a reading of a Viking funeral prayer, cultish chanting of "All Hail Vikings," and a very underwhelming "burning" of a 45-foot long Viking ship.

During the burning, stars Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha), Gustaf Skarsgard (Floki), Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn), and Alex Hogh Anderson (Ivar the Boneless) posed for pictures and interacted with fans, who all took home a celebratory Viking-themed beer horn.
