WWE Superstar The Miz Angles For Booster Gold Role In DCEU

If Warner Bros is looking to add some A-List star power to their superhero movie universe, they should pay attention to comments recently made by WWE Superstar The Miz. In an interview on The Ring Report (via ComicBookMovie), The Miz was asked about his dream project, and immediately jumped to comic book movies. At first, Miz says he wanted to play Deadpool for years until Ryan Reynolds took the role, just like fellow pro wrestler Christopher Daniels. But since that coveted part isn't up for grabs, Miz would be willing to jump ship to a different superhero universe and play Booster Gold for DC.

My dream project? I mean, I think anyone's dream project right now is how amazing the Marvel/DC comic book era is really coming together and really blowing up the scene. Anytime you have a movie, it's breaking records, it's doing great things, so obviously I'd want a Marvel character.

Obviously, Deadpool is already taken and Ryan Reynolds did an absolutely fantastic job. That was always my dream role ever since I saw the video game seven years ago, I was like "Oh my god, I want to play this guy!" But, Ryan Reynolds took it and knocked it out of the park and did an absolutely incredible job, so I can't fault him at all. But I think anyone would want to do Marvel or DC, maybe WWE can combine with them and do something, but you never know.

I mean a lot of the main ones are kind of taken. I've always wanted to play Booster Gold.

And Warner Bros, if you're concerned that The Miz's wrestling chops won't carry over to film acting, there's no need to worry. Miz is currently the star of The Marine 5: Battleground, in theaters… er… straight to DVD now, a role he's played since taking over the franchise with Marine 3 from Ted DiBiase Jr., who himself took over the franchise from John Cena. And if that doesn't convince you, just take a look at Miz's role of a life time, playing John Cena himself (and as Daniel Bryan) in the lost episode of Total Bellas:

With the ability to play two characters in one film, Miz could be the next Eddie Murphy! So what do you think? Would Miz as Booster Gold be… awesome?

About Jude Terror

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
