Cates and Ryan Stegman's Venom run will continue unhindered as Adam Warren and Chamba create Venom: The End.
This is good news for Catesbronies, the hardcore sect of comics fandom dedicated to Cates Hopefully someone lets Cates know that Venom isn't canceled so he can stop worrying though.
