Barr recently returned to DC Comics for Convergence: Blue Beetle and they seemed to like him so much, they've asked him to stick around and revisit a character from the Outsiders team he co-created back in the day, for a new mini-series Katana: Cult of the Kobra.
Katana commercially failed in a recent New 52 revival[...]
not what we we previously referred to as "Big October."
Which will include a new Firestorm mini-series by his co-creator Gerry Conway, who has been getting a little bit of a revival of interest recently, not least courtesy of a critique of DC Comics' royalty payment structures.

Including writer Len Wein returning to the character he co-created for DC Comics, Swamp Thing, after a recent return during Convergence with Kelley Jones.
