The 1964 issue features the first appearance of the Scorpion, written by Stan Lee and drawn by Steve Ditko.
According to Burkey, Ditko Spider-Man stories which are known to exist and are still intact as complete issue sets (in other words, have not been broken up into individual pages) include issues #1, 3, 4, 11, 24,[...]
The folks over at HalloweenCostumes.com have done up this cool infographic showing off the history of Spider-Man's costume from its creation, the
Famously, Steve Ditko wanted it to be a nobody, someone we'd never heard of Well that wouldn't suit the more commercial Stan Lee who wanted a reveal of a person who would mean something to the reader And so Norman Osborn it was.
This time however, from Superior Spider-Man #31…
I can honestly say, the answer wasn't[...]
From the letters page if Ultimate Spider-Man #200, from one Talib 'Abdur-Rashid of Harlem.
When last we checked, Steve Ditko was very much alive, aged 86, still writing and drawing comics, not too far from Talib's home…
Just so you know.

That was in great part due to Steve Ditko's acid-trip imagery No one wants to see Dr Strange in Avenger's mansion eating lunch No offense, Bendis We want to see Strange bouncing between psychedelic dimensions and ghostly astral planes!
The Hell You Say!
Hellboy has been a fan favorite for 20 years now and has dabbled in[...]
Allred's stunning double-page rendition of the Impericon, and his tour through its Impossible Palace, manages to evoke the square root of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko and yet is wholly its own It's what has made him more than a charmingly nostalgic cover act, but one equal of his own psychedelic horizons.
Scanning the Surfer's very[...]
About a year ago Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko was on kickstarter with Robin Snyder to raise the funds to reprint The Ditko Public Service Package #2 It was successfully funded.
Now he and Snyder are back with a new title, #9 Teen. This particular kickstarter has the least amount of information I have ever seen Nothing telling[...]
Vassallo, that — not only gives us a completely new look at something that many of us "old timers" always knew, but actually presents us with an alternate theory of why Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko left their long-time associations with Marvel.
According to the authors, these two giants of the industry and pillars of Marvel itself probably left the[...]

Comic fans should also be familiar with her in relation to Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and The Creeper creator Steve Ditko The enigmatic artist was a staunch supporter of Rand's teaching Concepts that influenced most of this work, most obviously in his creator owned series Mr A.
But knowing of Rand and knowing Rand is a bit[...]
Who is The Question is a new documentary posted on Youtube by Gary Lobstein and looks at the character created by Steve Ditko when he left Marvel and went over to Charlton Comics.
The character debuted in June of 1967 in Blue Beetle #1 and was based heavily on the teachings of Ayn Rand, someone Ditko[...]
The issue was written by Joe Gill and drawn by Steve Ditko… which explains the rainbow colored sleeves and legs I love Ditko's art, but he really could have gone with the 8 color crayola box over the 64 pack.
The story is about a nameless doctor who created a series of prisms that he could[...]
Of course, the core origin is in Strange Tales #115 (1963) by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee, initially expanded in 1968 for Doctor Strange #169 by Lee and Dan Adkins.

We recently reported that the Steve Ditko Variant for Amazing Spider-Man #700 was selling on eBay for over $1200 and copies are still selling for over a thousand dollars.
But it seems that Marvel have a few spare copies, and will be distributing them with every 250 copies that retailers order of the second print[...]
Buying two hundred of those would cost you $1600.
But then you would also be able to get a copy of the Steve Ditko 1:200 cover, which you would be now able to sell for over $1200 Which might make it all worthwhile.
Especially since you could sell one of the 1:150 covers for over $300 and[...]
The comic book industry gets better and better at making mainstream news, year by year, and that's good.
Meanwhile… somewhere in New York, Steve Ditko is probably quietly going about his business, still making comics and writing about them, and likely politely turning down several more press requests for interviews than usual this week[...]
The opening title splash page from Amazing Spider-Man #12 (1964) drawn by Steve Ditko has just sold at Heritage Auctions for $137,425 While it is sometimes difficult to discern record prices in the original art market, where closely-held private transactions are common, this is one of the top 5 prices ever paid for a line-art[...]
Javier Hernandez would like you to think of a certain someone when seeing Amazing Spider-Man at the movies...
It can be said without hesitation that the world of comics would be a very different place today without the contributions of Steve Ditko Born November 2, 1927, Ditko began working in comics in 1953 and went on to create or co-create characters such as Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Captain Atom, Hawk & Dove, The Creeper,[...]
