'Chambers': Uma Thurman Supernatural Netflix Series Gets First-Look Images
While you could say Netflix's upcoming supernatural drama Chambers definitely deals with "matters of the heart," it's safe to say the hour-long series from Leah Rachel, Stephen Gaghan, and Super Deluxe is not a "rom com": we're talking the literal heart here, folks. Created by series writer/co-showrunner Rachel with a pilot directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, Chambers stars Uma Thurman (Kill Bill), Tony Goldwyn (Scandal), and Sivan Alyra Rose (Running Shadow). Gaghan executive produces via Super Emotional along with Rachel and co-showrunner Akela Cooper, Super Deluxe's Wolfgang Hammer and Winnie Kemp, and Gomez-Rejon.
"Taking place in a mystic, New Age pocket of Arizona, Chambers is a psychological horror story that explores the different ways we metabolize trauma. But what starts out as a grounded human story eventually pivots into something far more strange and fucked up than you were expecting."
– Leah Rachel
Chambers centers on a young heart attack survivor who becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor's sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased — some of which are troublingly sinister.
Here's a look at some early first-look images for the series (including the one above), with Chambers set to debut on Netflix on April 26th:
The streaming service also stars Lilliya Reid (Vienna, The Fantomes), Nicholas Galitzine (Share, Handsome Devil), Kyanna Simone Simpson (The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Black Lightning), Lilli Kay (Paterno, Napoli), Sarah Mezzanotte (The Wolves, Six Degrees of Separation), and Griffin Powell-Arcand (Mixed Blessings).
