Eric Andre, Billy Porter & More in New "Live Near Broadway" Clips
With the special hitting Adult Swim on Thursday, Eric Andre posted some new previews for his new comedy special "Live Near Broadway."
At the time that we're writing this, we're only a little more than 24 hours away from having more Eric Andre in our lives (though nothing will ever be able to compete with Adult Swim's The Eric Andre Show?). Because on Thursday, January 18th (at midnight ET/PT, the next day on Max), Cartoon Network's ever-expanding late-night programming block is set to screen Eric André Live Near Broadway. The special features André's lo-fi brand of late-night entertainment and punk rock comedy, with his performance at Terminal 5 in New York City being the basis for the half-hour special. Expect to see the amazing Billy Porter as well as fan-favorite characters The Grim Reaper and The Fridge Keeper – and more (spoilers, people!). "We're spilling ranch-covered nightmares across America, and now we're entering your home thanks to Adult Swim," André (who executive-produces with Mike Rosenstein) shared about the special when the news was first announced. Following up on the previously released teaser trailer, we have two new previews for the special that were posted by Andre earlier today – including seeing Porter in action, too…
Here's a look at the previews that Andre shared earlier on Wednesday – followed by a mini-tribute to the most recent season of The Eric Andre Show:
The Eric Andre Show: Looking Back at Season 6
Invoking the tantric swag of sex god Eros, season six is guaranteed to be the most high-octane, stone-cold, no-holds-barred, mind-blowing, emotionally mature late-night show in the history of mankind. Eric Andre is back behind the desk like never before; ripped, shredded, full of energy, complete with beads of sweat dripping down from his taut nips onto his glistening six-pack abs. Watch pampered celebrities regret their choices, rappers get the runaround, and a slate of street pranks so egregious they collectively inspired a record 30 phone calls to 911. And don't forget that the line-up of familiar faces this season included Natasha Lyonne, Jaleel White, Blac Chyna, Jon Hamm, Lil Nas X, Drew Barrymore, Raven-Symoné, Diplo, Daymond John, Meagan Good, Rico Nasty, Waka Flocka Flame, Tinashe, Cypress Hill, Lil Yachty, Cheech Marin, and more. Now, here's a look back at the official trailer as well as a collection of the season's intros:
