First Teaser Trailer for Series 11 of Doctor Who Debuts at SDCC [VIDEO]

The future is female when it comes to Doctor Who. After many years we finally have a female Doctor in the form of Jodie Whittaker. Fans have been anxiously awaiting for any footage from this new season, and the BBC dropped the first footage from the new series at San Diego Comic-Con today to a full house in Hall H.

We also get some new footage from co-stars Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill, and Tosin Cole. As for how the footage looks, well, it looks a lot like we can expect from Doctor Who. A couple of alien planets, a lot of people running to and from various things, and the Doctor asking her new companions if she asks nicely they'll be her new best friends. It's a very childlike way of asking the question, almost innocent, which after the grumpy old man Doctor that was Peter Capaldi [note: that is not grumpy in a bad way] this already seems very refreshing.

The 11th series of Doctor Who is set to debut this fall.
