FX Networks Releases Midseason Premiere Dates: "Fargo", "Devs", "What We Do in the Shadows" & More
Taking their turn at the Television Critics Association winter press event and following up on the announcement that Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story was renewed through Season 13, FX Networks revealed the midseason premiere dates for its new and returning FX, FXX, and FX on Hulu series.
From the highly-anticipated return of Fargo and What We Do In the Shadows to the premieres of FX on Hulu's Devs and the Cate Blanchett limited series Mrs. America, here's a look at how FX's viewing calendar shakes out (along with additional notes – and it would appear that Y will either be a summer or fall release, we're assuming):
March 2020
Breeders: 10-episode comedy series starring Martin Freeman premieres at 10 p.m. Monday, March 2, on FX and the following day on FX on Hulu (premiere includes first two episodes).
Dave: 10-episode new comedy series from Dave Burd aka Lil Dicky premieres at 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, on FXX and the following day on FX on Hulu (premiere includes first two episodes).
Devs: 8-episode new limited series from Alex Garland premieres first two episodes on Thursday, March 5, on FX on Hulu, followed by a new episode each subsequent week.
Better Things: 10-episode fourth season of Pamela Adlon's comedy series premieres at 10 p.m. Thursday, March 5 on FX and the following day on FX on Hulu (premiere includes first two episodes).
Cake: 10-episode second season of the half-hour weekly showcase premieres at 10 p.m. Thursday, March 5 on FXX and the following day on FX on Hulu (premiere includes first two episodes).
The Most Dangerous Animal of All: First of FX's slate of docuseries premieres at 10 p.m. Friday, March 6 on FX and the following day on FX on Hulu. Premiere includes first two episodes, followed by third and fourth episodes in subsequent weeks.
April 2020
Mrs. America: 9-episode limited series starring Cate Blanchett premieres first three episodes on Wednesday, April 15 on FX on Hulu, with new episodes airing each subsequent week on FX on Hulu.
What We Do in the Shadows: 10-episode second season premieres at 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 on FX and the next day on FX on Hulu. The premiere will include the first two episodes, followed by a new episode each subsequent week.
Fargo: Noah Hawley's Emmy-nominated anthology series — this time featuring Chris Rock, Jack Huston, Jason Schwartzman, Ben Winshaw, Uzo Aduba, and Timothy Olyphant — premieres its fourth season at 10 p.m. Sunday, April 19 on FX and the following day on FX on Hulu (premiere includes first two episodes).
May 2020
Archer: 8-episode, 11th season of the animated series premieres at 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 6 on FXX and the following day on FX on Hulu (premiere includes first two episodes).
