Grotesquerie Star Niecy Nash-Betts Finds Set Life One "Bloody" Mess
Grotesquerie star Niecy Nash-Betts checked in from filming the Ryan Murphy/FX Networks series to show us just how "bloody" set life can get.
When it comes to learning more about what Ryan Murphy & Murphy Productions' upcoming Niecy Nash-Betts (Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story), Courtney B. Vance (Lovecraft Country), Lesley Manville (The Crown), and NFL Star Travis Kelce-starring Grotesquerie, the team has been keeping details pretty much on lockdown. Sure, we get some clues here and there – like how it's going to be a series of half-hour episodes, which is fascinating us – but for the most part, it's all about being patient. Thankfully, Nash-Betts, Kelce, and others have been filling the void with some fun and fascinating looks at how filming is going and how the production is coming together. In fact, Nash-Betts took to social media to offer fans a look at just how "bloody" set life can be – but as Nash-Betts joked in the video, the other person had it worse.
Here's a look at two screencaps from the brief Instagram Stories video that Nash-Betts shared, looking to bring a little light to what's clearly a very bloody and disturbing scene:
"I don't know what's started. I can't put my finger on it. But it's different now. There's been a shift. It's like something's opening up in the world. A kind of hole to the center of nothingness. What I saw today, they sent shrinks for everyone who worked this crime scene. You say, 'Well, hon, evil has always existed.' And cite some statistic about how the world's getting better, less murder, more help, less global horror, never been a better time to be alive…" Nash-Betts says in the voiceover. "Come back. It's not getting better. And I keep needing to hear your answers because something's happening around us, and nobody sees but me," the voiceover concludes with a great cliffhanger. Here's a look back at the teaser released by Murphy Productions & FX Networks for Grotesquerie that caught everyone off-guard:
