Legends of Tomorrow Season 4: Executive Producer Talks the Lack of Costumes This Season

This season of Legends of Tomorrow has been heavy on the costumes for our band of heroes but not the super suits. Most of the time the Legends have been changing up their styles so they can fit into whatever era they are exploring. [Unless you're John Constantine and then you wear whatever you want]. It seems that people are noticing that the Legends aren't rocking their super suits though and TV Line brought it up to executive producer Phil Klemmer. He was asked if we were ever going to see the super suits in this season and teased some funs things on the horizon.

"Many of them will appear in their iconic costumes, others will appear in other characters' costumes which they, err, 'borrowed,'" says Klemmer. "And for a brief time, Nate/Steel with have a super-suited sidekick called Kid Steel."

Klemmer goes on to say that the lack of suits is something worth exploring because some of our heroes, like Charlie or John or Zari to an extent, don't have iconic super suits but they are still heroes.

"It's interesting that you ask this question about super suits because in the finale the Legends will question, 'What makes a superhero? Why do people look up to superheroes? Is wearing a costume integral to being a superhero?' and finally, 'Do we need to wear our super suits in order to save the world?'"

It sounds like the show is going to be exploring some fun things with the Legends in the latter half of the season. We know the show got renewed for a fifth season so no we don't need to worry about it ending on a cliffhanger.

Summary: After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara and her team join Ava Sharpe and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one.

Legends of Tomorrow, created by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Phil Klemmer, stars Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Jes Macallan, Matt Ryan, and Courtney Ford. It will return on April 1st on the CW.
