The Punisher Season 2: 4 New Images and 2 New Posters
We finally have the first trailer for the second season of The Punisher. The show, which will drop next week on Netflix, is rumored to be one of the last seasons we'll see from the Marvel-Netflix partnership. Maybe that's why there hasn't been a huge marketing push for this season; a lot of people are expecting that the show is going to be canceled not long after the premiere. For now, we have some new images from the See What's Next twitter account.
We also have two new posters from the official twitter featuring Ben Barnes as Billy Russo and Giorgia Whigham as Amy Bendix.
The first season of The Punisher was a lot better and more nuanced than people expected it to be. This is a show that was renewed long before the blood was in the water with the Marvel-Netflix deal which is both a good thing and bad. Good in the sense that everyone is still going to give their all because they didn't know about the mass cancellations when they were working on the show. The bad is that they didn't know about these cancellations which means there could be a lot of unresolved plot threads. We'll have to see later this week.
Summary: After the murder of his family, Frank Castle becomes a vigilante known as "the Punisher", who aims to fight crime by any means necessary.
The Punisher, from showrunner Steve Lightfoot, stars Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Deborah Ann Woll, Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, Giorgia Whigham, Corbin Bernsen, and Annette O'Toole. It will stream to Netflix on January 18th.
