XIII To Get Brand New Creative Team
This is pretty huge. You know, if you follow continental European comics, that is.
Artist of the phenomenally successful XIII comic, William Vance, is retiring and has chosen Russian artist Youri Jigounov to replace him. Youri, currentlky based in Belgium, was the artist on spy series Alpha.
But for XIII fans this means a new writer and a new artist, albeit ones chosen by the departing crew.
XIII has already spun off a barnstorming video game and US TV miniseries starring Stephen Dorff. An amnesiac spy thriller, publication saw a bowlderised version first from Alias Comics, then, as originally published, by the Dabel Brothers and Marvel Comics. And now Cinebooks is currently publishing the nineteen graphic novel series, one book every two months.
An interview with Youri appears in the new issue of Casemate.
