Aquaman Vs Darkseid – SPOILERS
Much of the Aquaman relaunch has been seen to be an attempt at revitalising the character, moving away from the mockable baggage of previous comics and Seinfeld/Big Bang Theory references alike.
And it worked. Not only did I cast Samuel Jackson in the role in my mind, but his fifth issue outsold every Marvel comic book on the stands.
Geoff Johns has also been writing Justice League, introducing Aquaman to the other characters, and to the world at large. But there's a danger of him being overshadowed by his compatriots.
Well, not in this book. In Justice League #6 out today, Aquaman goes toe to toe with Darkseid. And does this.
No one call him flipperboy again, okay?
Thanks to Orbital Comics of London, Their new show, Stripped, is about to start.
