The Very Rare First Appearance Of Tim Seeley's Revival
Revival is the new Tim Seeley book from Image Comics being premiered in The Walking Dead #99.
It made its first appearance in the Image Free Comic Book Day comic. Of course there are plenty of those.
But what most people don't know is that the widely distributed version of that comic is actually the second print of that comic. The first print was pulped then reprinted with a very different cover.
Here's what was widely distributed.
And here is the original cover with a Grant Morrison/Darick Robertson teaser for Happy on the back. That's probably the easiest way to tell what's what. But what caused the reprint?
Well, the indicia are different… here's the pulped version, with lots of detail.
And the final version that's a little more generic.
There's missing logo and credits from It Girl & The Atomics, original on the left, final on the right.
But I reckon it has probably something to do with the original using the Guardians Of The Globe name rather than the legally preferable Guarding The Globe.
But whatever the reason, it may be checking which version you got. Some copies of the original somehow escaped into the wild. Like mine…
