Amazon Fishing For Marvel's Secret Wars
Marvel seem to have given Amazon.com a series of placeholder titles for upcoming books. But there is still enough to data mine some erroneous conclusions from, looking at te upcoming collections based on this summer's Secret Wars event.
While Battlezones TPBs seem to be getting their own title listings, Warzone books mostly seem to be collected like this:
Eleven trade paperbacks, all for October and November, with strange letter markings rather than titles. Marvel not wanting info to get out there until it was properly announced? They all seem to be about 5 issues or so long..
Also, note how these named apparent ongoing series are not marked as volume 1, but stand alone books.
Except these Volume Zero titles…
Might one presume that Secret Wars: Old Man Logan is intended to run in continuity before the already published Mark Millar and Steve McNiven series, in continuity terms? And does this mean that A-Force will equally be an actual ongoing series?
Also despite a relaunch. Hawkeye will continue its TPB numbering from the Fraction/Aja series and Winter Soldier, Black Widow and Punisher will be part of Last Days as predicted.
Everything else is looking pretty normal… ish.
The collections of the Wolverines weekly comic seem to stop after vol 4's arc Destiny, which might suggest a cancellation after issue 20? Or a pause in the publishing program?
