Dennis Barger Makes Demands On DC Comics For Rebirth Event

Outspoken comic book retailer Dennis Barger of QuickStop Comics and Wonderworld Comics seems to have a rather terrorist-style approach to DC Comics after their ComicsPRO presentation.

Dennis has fallen out badly with the ComicsPRO organisers, is not a member and did not attend the meeting in Portland with DC publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee last week. Though he did post this pic…

Anyway, expressing his concerns, he has issues a list of demands as part of his new Facebook group "Retailer Not Buying In Big For DC Rebirth". Or RNBIBFDR. Runbibfodder.

Snappy.

Since most of us were never consulted and now Dan Didio claims he's putting retailers first on this project I thought we should have a page to tell Dan what we would like to see before we are won over on this.

My first demand is a 4 week roll back on Day and Date Digital. Show us that's we're first but putting us first and exclusive for 28 days. If not then you aren't putting us first.

Second demand, free preview for FCBD matching our other DC FCBD title FOC orders.

Third demand- 8 week delayed billing and fully returnable with no processing fee after 4 weeks.

Fourth demand, guaranteed original page count now, before we go forward.

Barger has a long history of demands of course. This from 2008… though as far as I can tell DC Comics has not capitulated to them in the eight years since despite some wish fulfilment…
