Justice League Breakdowns Vol 1 By Gerard Jones Confirmed As Cancelled From DC

stl028633DC Comics has confirmed a Bleeding Cool story from a few weeks ago that, as well as Green Lantern: Hal Jordan Vol 2, the Justice League Breakdowns Vol 1 collection has also been cancelled.

One of the writers of the books, Gerard Jones was recently charged with offenses related to child pornography, though he has pled not guilty.

It is not yet known how this situation may affect other work including The Flash by Mark Waid Vol. 2, which has considerable work from Jones in it.

It may be worth looking how past examples were handled. A completed original graphic novel, Wonder Woman Hand Of The Gods, by acclaimed fantasy authors Margaret Weis and Lizz Baldwin was binned when its artist Justiniano was arrested and then sentenced to ten years in 2012 for the possession of child pornography.

However, since then, DC Comics has reprinted collections of his work, including 52, his Infinite Crisis Day Of Vengeance series and work inside both a Flash and a Teen Titans Omnibus.

Is it down to the timing?
