AMC Shocker: Could Glenn Be Returning To The Walking Dead?? (SPOILERS)

glenn

Fan-favorite deceased character Glenn could be returning to The Walking Dead, according to showrunner Scott Gimple. No, he hasn't been hiding under a dumpster this whole time. Sadly, since Glenn has his brains bashed in at the beginning of The Walking Dead Season 7, he's really dead for good, but that doesn't mean he might not still show up… in a dream sequence!

Vector themed TV news site TVLine has the scoop through a bizarrely formatted column where readers ask TVLiner reporter Michael Ausiello a question, and then we guess he goes and asks the person, in this case Gimple, and prints the answer. Here's what Ausiello had to say Gimple had to say:

Pretty good, actually. As Maggie gets closer to giving birth, it's "certainly possible," says EP Gimple, that Steven Yeun might reprise his role for some newly created flashbacks or a vision or something. "I'd be silly to say it isn't." But, if a Glenn sighting were to be tied to his baby's arrival, you could have quite a wait ahead of you. "She might not be that close," Gimple hastened to add. "Things have been moving pretty quickly, but not a lot of time has passed."

So there you have. Glenn dream sequence return confirmed! We're already getting misty-eyed just thinking about it.
