New Trailer And Poster For Pixar's 'Coco'
Cars 3 comes out next week but we have another Pixar movie later this year. Entertainment Weekly unveailed that the upcoming Day of the Dead movie from Pixar Coco will have an all-Latino cast. They left some new character details along with a new poster. We also got a new trailer today as well. It's Pixar so it's going to be good at the very least. Their bad movies are still better than most animated movies.
Miguel Rivera: voiced by newcomer Anthony Gonzalez. Miguel is a twelve year old boy who loves music despite his family's ban on all things music.
Abuelita: voiced by Renée Victor. She's strict but fiercely devoted.
Mamá Coco: voiced by Ana Ofelia Murguía. She's Migeul's beloved great-grandmother.
Hector: voiced by Gael García Bernal. When Miguel and his dog Dante find themselves transported to the land of the dead they team up with this trickster.
Ernesto de la Cruz: voiced by Benjamin Bratt. Miguel's deceased musical idol that they are trying to track down so they can go home.
Jaime Camil and Sofía Espinosa as Miguel's parents and Luis Valdez as Miguel's uncle. In the Land of the Dead, Miguel encounters deceased family members like his great-great-grandmother Mamá Imelda (Alanna Ubach), his aunt Tía Rosita (Selene Luna), his great-grandfather Papá Julio (Alfonso Arau), and his twin uncles Tío Oscar and Tío Felipe (Herbert Siguenza).
Other residents of the Land of the Dead include the curmudgeonly Chicharrón (Edward James Olmos) and a corrections officer voiced by Cheech Marin.
This is the second animated movie to deal with the Land of the Dead with the fantastically underrated The Book of Life from 2014. It's a rich concept that is worth exploring in many forms and the director of The Book of Life is rooting for the movie.
Summary: Coco follows a 12-year-old boy named Miguel who sets off a chain of events relating to a century-old mystery, leading to an extraordinary family reunion.
Coco, directed by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina, will be released on November 22, 2017.
