Porgs, Poe Dameron and Whatever Happened to Maz Kanata – Marvel Comics Tells Star Wars Takes Beyond The Last Jedi

Marvel's comic book series Star Wars: Poe Dameron has done a good job in filling in the fighter pilot's past as well as retelling a few stories. But with the last couple of issues, it has taken the first steps beyond Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with the three leads who have never really had much screentime as a threesome, bonding….

…as well as telling stories of the past, but from the future. ..

And filling in a few annoying plotholes from The Force Awakens…

…such as why Poe Dameron didn't eject from the Tie Fighter…

…how he survived the crash on Jaaku…

…why Finn couldn't find him…

…how he escaped from the planet…

…and what exactly his mission with BB-8 was in the first place.

…how and why he got to Takonada…

And also, because this is post-Last Jedi…

… we also get Porgs. And Poe Dameron meets his first one.

Oh and yes, what happened to Maz Kanata anyway. Turns out she's fine.
