Now Snickers Spoils Batman #50…

Ah, Snickers. The chocolate and caramel bar that used to be called Marathon in the UK. That saw Superman/Wonder Woman/Batman stories shoved inappropriately into the middle of other comic books, confusing readers. Of giving us public Flash/Superman battles in stadiums. And following up on Mars stablemate Twix chocolate bars that managed to finagle its way into the pages of DC Comics, as half page ads under the comic book action, and saw Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo mock it from above.

Well, Snickers is back with inside-back page ads featuring Batman, The Joker, and Robin, reminiscent of the old Hostess Cakes ads.

However, because of the back page pagination issues, in Batman #50, it's on the inside front cover instead. The first thing you read when you open the cover and, to the unprepared, a very odd beginning to the much-hyped-and-spoiled Batwedding story.

This is what you get…

Now Snickers Spoils Batman #50…

But what are the odds that by Batman #100, Tom King will have made this canon? He seems to do it with everything else… including that Elmer Fudd/Batman crossover.
