It's tough to find the right balance for revisiting superhero origin stories. Superhero movies tend to do it too often, and there's no shortage of comics retelling the origins of popular heroes like Batman or Superman. On the other hand, modern comics' tendency to be "written for the trade" often means that comics can go dozens of issues without throwing a single bone to the mythical "new comic reader" to help them figure out what the hell is going on. Well, the creative team of Magnificent Ms. Marvel isn't taking any chances, offering not one but two origin stories for the titular Ms. Marvel in next week's relaunch.
