Spirit Awards: 'Lighthouse' and 'Uncut Gems' Lead Nominations
Spirit Awards nominations have been revealed, and the big winners are The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems. Each is nominated in five categories, including Best Feature. Other nominees in that category include Marriage Story, The Farewell, and A Hidden Life. After the two leaders, Give Me Liberty and Shia LaBeouf's Honey Boy have four nominations. Acting categories include Robert Pattinson and Adam Sandler for Best Male Lead, Elizabeth Moss, Karen Allen, and Renée Zellweger for Female Lead. Jennifer Lopez gets a nomination for Hustlers in the Supporting Female category, and Noah Baumbach missed out on Best Director, but got a nomination for Best Screenplay for Marriage Story. Big time kudos to Olivia Wilde for nabbing a Best First Feature nom for the excellent Booksmart.
