The X-Men Attempt to Steal a Teenage Boy from his Family in X-Men/Fantastic Four #1

In the world of Marvel superhero comics, you either die a hero, or you live long enough to become a villain. Since the X-Men can no longer die, it stands to reason that they have no choice but to become the villains. Is that way things are coming full circle since Avengers vs. X-Men, the event where Captain America and the Avengers invaded the sovereign nation of Utopia to demand the X-Men hand over innocent teenager Hope Summers so she could be imprisoned on the moon for future crimes she might one day commit while under the influence of a bird-themed cosmic death god?

Marvel has released a preview of X-Men/Fantastic Four #1, in which we find the X-Men taking a ride on Kate Pryde's ship…

…while Reed Richards spends some quality time with his son Franklin, by which we mean performs scientific experiments on him.

But has Franklin already chosen a side in the war between humans and mutants?

X-Men/Fantastic Four #1 hits stores on February 5th.
