A Comic Show – A Very Harley Quinn Innuendo

Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida writes,

Hey Fandom, I'm back with New Comics Now because it's what I do with my life! It's A Comic Show! This week we have some more All-New Marvels Now, Batman, Harley Quinn, several Image books, and X-Files vs Ghostbusters.

First up is James Robinson's All-New Invaders, you guys know I loved his Starman, and his strong point as a writer is weaving magic with legacy. The Original Human Torch is my kind of self-loathing robot. Avengers did the time tossed founding members thing like those mutants did, or so it seems. All New X-Men starts the Trial of Jean Grey, how can she be held accountable for crimes she hasn't committed yet (and will she be tried as a minor)? Black Widow #2 continued my love for the book, I've never cared for he before, but I'm starting to now. Thanks Nathan and Phil! And the verdict isn't in yet for Origins II for me. I love the creative team, the book is pretty and polished, but I just still have an issue with not wanting Logan's past spelled out. Maybe it's because I'm 37 and his past being a mystery was part of his mystique.

Geoff Johns has been killing it with the Forever Evil Justice League tie-ins since #24, now the sadistic origins are over and it's time for the beginning and end of Doom(ed) Patrol! I like how he's seeding the new 52 with Plasticman, DP, Metal Men, and (hopefully) Ted Kord as Blue Beetle during this crossover. Batman Zero Year continues to impress me, while Harley Quinn got a visit from Poison Ivy.

Image rocked the week with Remender's new Deadly Class, its kids from 1987 with no future. I'm gonna offer a money back guarantee on it at my shop. Walking Dead continued the carnage. And if you like X-Files and Ghostbusters, the only reason not to get the IDW one-shot featuring the two franchises is if you hate yourself!
