A Comic Show – Lights Out For Forever Evil

Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Florida writes;

Hey Fandom! It's me Aaron, for A Comic Show talking about new comics now. I'm very thankful with how well Villains month was received here and with how awesome my birthday turned out at the shop. I'm also happy all that is over and it's time to get back to our regular comic weekly routine. DC won the win with both the second part of Forever Evil and the first of Green Lantern Lights Out. Forever Evil is my kind of event, I love the dark stuff. There's a lot to talk about in this one, but I don't want to do spoilers. Light's Out got off to a strong start. Relic is like a Galactus who eats light instead of planets, and that works for me. Venditti's characterization of all the GL's is dead on and the stakes are high. Trillium #3 continued the craziness of flipping the comic around while reading. Hunterkind was a strong start to what might be Vertigo's next big ongoing.

Marvel had a few gems. All-New X-men gave my girl Alison Blaire another new job. The All-New special has Spider-Ock vs a time displaced Doc Ock. Captain America Living Legend is Diggle and Granov goodness. And Marvel Knights Spider-man #1 was a beautifully drawn and written by one of our new favorites: Matt Kindt.

Star Wars had a $1 first issue reprint and The Star Wars #2. We got another Hickman God is Dead. And DC ends out their domination of the week wit the Batman Court of Owls volume 1 box set, complete wit an Owl Mask! Your Halloween costume is here this week!
