A New Justice League For The New Avengers
Marvel have had stand ins-for the Justice League Of America before. The Squadron Supreme created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema (and recreated by Mark Gruenwald), was pretty much note for note – and we've even seen their Superman-alike Hyperion join the Avengers recently.
But in this week's New Avengers, Marvel took that a step further.
Sam Gavin summarises for Bleeding Cool,
The story starts off with Black Panther telling Namor he's found an earth that's survived two incursions without destroying the world in conflict with theirs. Sound a bit like Crisis on Infinite Earth's and Flashpoint. Ya know, worlds collide, worlds combine, worlds become all shiny and new.We kick it over to this earth to find it protected by Sun God, who looks eerily similar to a blonde Clark Kent. Sun God stops in to catch up with his dark brooding teammate who he calls "Wayne" before meeting with the rest of his team, including a speedster dressed in red and yellow, a green alien, and Dr. Fate with a silver helmet.
Can we look forward to DC's X-Men any time soon?
