Alabama Auction Sells 50,000 Comics From a Comic Shop That Closed In 2009….
The Southeast Auction House of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, holds monthly auctions for boats, travel trailers, motor homes, vehicles, equipment, mowers ATVs, motorcycles, tractors and the like. But this coming weekend? It's comic books.
They are opening up a collection of 50,000 comic books that were left boxed up in storage after a comic store there closed in 2009, priced at 75% off market prices, with mint condition comics from $1 each and hardbacks from $5. And they intend to sell them all on Friday and Saturday. Say, isn't that Doug Moench and Kelley Jones's Batman Unseen? I'd forgotten that. I know I have those Blackhawks though…
