Bleeding Cool Bestseller List – 18th October 2015 – All-New All-Different Batman
This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.
Not one Secret Wars title in the Top Ten for the first time in an age, and Star Wars battered down by Marvel relaunches. Note Spider-Gwen beats out a number of other relaunches, and Harley Quinn is no where to be seen… but Batman beats all.

Who had this to say,
For the first time in a looooong time, neither Walking Dead or Batman were the top of our list. In fact, Batman came in at number SEVEN for us. It's usually either a second or top selling book. Not sure where all the Scott Snyder fans were this week, but they couldn't hold a candle against the new Marvel #1's, which continue to sell despite customers complaining about them. I Hate Fairyland sold SPECTACULAR and we sold more the "F*ck Fairyland" variant than the regular cover. People love Skottie Young and swears!
The speculators have been looking for early Hack/Slash and Y: The Last Man thanks to the TV pick ups. No one cares about Legion still, even though he's getting a TV show. With the release of the Cursed Pirate Girl Annual we've seen some movement on Cursed Pirate Girl back issues.
(Sorry I've been AWOL. Wouldn't remember to do it until Sunday)
Very very happy to have regular Marvel back. Hoping to see the customers that took Secret Wars off come back, but most are still missing.Very very happy to have a DC weekly back. Only $2.99 but it gets the people coming back in every week and talking.
It's not a fluke. The interest in the Marvel #1s is still there for week 2. Many of the reboots are moving at 30-50% more than before. Of course the #2s will really tell the tale.
Not a bad week. Not nearly as good as the previous week. Seeing Journey Star Wars FASE 3 taking a major dive in sales. People are very dissappointed in the writing. And also feel mislead. This limited series is suppose to bridge the gap between the Return of the Jedi and the new movie? But the limited series only takes place right after Return of the Jedi. Chewbacca was surprisingly not as popular as I thought it would be. Uncanny Avengers did great thanks to Deadpool. Justice League America 4 doing quite well.
Deadpool back issues are in demand. Harley Quinn also. I guess if your crazy your popular this week.
Another great week for sales. I actually had time to report this week. Last week was really close to a record day and this week was pretty close as well. Spider-Gwen took the top spot since it was the only title that people did not have to choose which cover they wanted…they just took I of each.
Daredevil was on the move again for the back-issue market with new and old readers picking up what was available to them.
Both copies of Hack Slash #1 at $50 a pop sold within minutes of each other, this naturally meant someone somewhere picked up an option to develop Hack Slash – which, yes it turns out they had.
I'm in the business of selling books, and I like being able to keep the lights on, but I always feel a bit sad that it didn't end up with a collector/fan vs a flipper. Hopefully the flippers will make some $$ and eventually get it in the hands of a fan that can treasure the books.
Good, strong sales across the board. #2-10 on our list were separated by a small margin. But Batman took the top spot by a large margin. JLA #4 gave DC the top two spots but their only other charting book for us was Batman & Robin Eternal at #7.
Turns out people want books with Avengers in the title. Spider-Gwen continues to be hot. Sold out completely on Friday including all variants. Spider-Man 2099 is barely a blip on the radar by comparison.
Lot of good books just barely missed the top ten- Sam Wilson, Ms Marvel, I Hate Fairyland, Walking Dead, A-Force, Sex Criminals were pushed out by a couple of Marvel's licensed sci-fi books.Marvel takes the top six positions, DC takes three, and Image takes one. However, the total copies sold of the three DCs and the one Image added together are only 80% of the number of copies that Chewbacca #1 sold–the gap is enormous. Batman Eternal earned a place in the top ten, but the second issue sold only 55% what the first issue sold in the same amount of time… a very bad attrition rate on a day when a large number of customers came into the store. Biggest surprise: hardly anyone wanted I Hate Fairyland. Apparently Skottie Young is officially typecast with those baby covers, and our customers don't want to see him doing anything more mature.
Very very happy to have regular Marvel back. Hoping to see the customers that took Secret Wars off come back, but most are still missing.

We Had planned for Clandestino #1 from Black Mask for over a month. When we opened the doors with 300 copies ready to roll…it just happened, in less than 2 hours we were sold out of every copy taking the #1 spot for the week. However that wasn't the Hot book of the week. I hate Fairyland and F$%$K Fairyland sold more copies combined then THe Black Mask title at the end of the day. Harley Quinn was another sell out with every copy gone by the end of the night taking 4th place. Image fights back with Walking dead #147 taking the 5th spot. Chewy and Journey Star Wars take the 6th and 7th spot. As Marvel titles continue to plummet in the store (other than Star Wars) Spider Gwen holds off Zombie Tramp Halloween Special to take the 8th spot and Zombie tramp takes 9th (If we didn't under order and sell out Zombie could have been a top 5 for us. ) Batman #45 takes the 10th spot. As Indies continue to explore new avenues of story lines, the Old School Marvel and Dc comics just continues to drop. Batman dropped almost 70% in pull boxes the last two months. With only one Superhero and 2 Action heroes in our top ten the trend continues to favor the non top two publishers going into Xmas.
