Who had this to say…
Its all about Star Wars. Dc comes to the dance FINALLY taking 3 top 5 spots. Chew comes in strong and Lady Mechanika fans are happy as heck. Very strong week for Comic Book fans has stronger titles have arrived. Many fans are gearing up for secret wars and the feel is that its going to hit us strong. So selling through this weeks new issues is imperative as it becomes lost in the shuffle.
Star Wars absolutely blew everyone else out of the water. Marvel's doing an absolutely tremendous job with this book, and our customers can't seem to get enough of this title. Unfortunately Convergence still isn't clicking with a lot of our customers. Even though it came in at number four for us, we still have tons of issue 0, 1, and 2 in stock, and no one seems to be talking about it.
There's been a big uptick in customers looking for Civil War and Civil War Tie-ins, especially the Amazing Spider-Man one. It's funny, because with Age of Ultron hitting next week, I was expecting people coming out in droves to get stuff about Ultron, but it seems people are more interested in Civil War than Ultron (for now).
Convergence itself is doing great. Star Wars is still red hot. Convergence Flash 1 seen a bump of people buying it thanks to another store selling out of it on Wednesday. Which I totally understand. I under estimated the demand on more than a few of the Convergence spin offs. Convergence Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes 1 sold out for us on Wednesday. It sold better than the last solos Superboy and solo Legion series combined. I did not have enough copies for it to make it into the top ten. Thankfully DC had enough in stock for us to order more. All New X Men 40 was talked about. There is some confusion about Iceman's younger self being outed by Jean as gay but his older self isn't? People did pick it up though.
Star Wars the first series by Marvel is selling well thanks to the hype that is Star Wars. Batman and Deadpool back issues are doing well.
