Captain Marvel #8 Now a $25 Comic on eBay

We mentioned yesterday that Captain Marvel #8 out this Wednesday may have greater demand than otherwise anticipated by some, with the first appearance of a new character Star, who will be playing a major role in upcoming Marvel universe titles.

Two days before publication, the word is out and pre-sales are up. Multiple copies have been bought on eBay for up to $25 for the standard cover, $40 for the virgin Carnage variant, and $120 for the 1:25 variant.

Captain Marvel #8 Now a $25 Comic

Some have suggested for the San Diego Comic-Con-attending crowd that the Marvel Comics booth may have a Turtle-sized stampede for the SDCC exclusive version of Captain Marvel with a J Scott Campbell cover… but that's issue 7 that's getting that treatment, not issue 8. The Miles Morales: Spider-Man #8 SDCC edition however, that may be another story. More of that in another article I think.

Still if you can get a copy of #8 on the way in, I'm sure Amanda Conner would be happy to sign that cover…
