That Charlie Brown/Batman Crossover In Today's Batman #27 (SPOILERS)

We mentioned yesterday that you might need to brush up on your Peanuts yesterday, ahead of today's Batman #27 by Tom King, Clay Mann, Danny Miki, John Livesay and Gabe Eltoeb. An interlude in the War Of Jokes And Riddles, so nmo more story to tell Catwoman, but a little bit of backstory behind one of the characters who has been featured a little more of late.

Previously it had been noted that Batman legacy villain Kite Man had the secret identity, Chuck Brown. Or Charles Brown. Or, yes, Charlie Brown. Today, however, the comic book takes that coincidence further.

In the Peanuts strips, Charlie Brown had his own issues with kites. And a smiling figure who seemed to be his nemesis.

Today, Batman #27 makes that a bit more literal as the Joker gets involved with his life. With this double page splash.

Looks like the Joker really does love those cartoon strips…
