Creepiest Mickey Ever: Mickey Mouse Shorts Season One #3
Sometime recently, Disney started coming out with new Disney shorts featuring the fab five. Their attitudes were reminiscent of their original cartoons. Mickey was a prankster, Donald had a shorter fuse, ect. These new cartoons also gave us a new art style, which I am very on the fence about. On one hand I like how edgy and new it is. On the other hand it's pretty creepy. Some of the cartoons I find to be a little mature for young viewers as well.
So naturally Mickey Mouse Shorts Season One #3 captures the spirit of these new cartoons. While having zombie Goofy on the cover isn't off putting to me, I can understand young readers shying away. In the first story "Dog Show", we open with a sweet scene between Mickey and Pluto. Non zombie Goofy comes along…and he's honestly still creepy even in regular form as well. I'm not going to lie, the art is really off putting. I can't even get through the book. I'd like to tell you it's a good book but the art is making it hard to read.
