Damian, East Of West, Age Of Ultron And Injustice Top The Advance Reorder Charts
As ever, on the Advance Reorder chart from Diamond Comic Distributors, we point out that second prints, variants are often overrepresented as they are they can often only be ordered through advance reorders. This week however, genuine advance reorders dominate the charts. Batman Inc #9, East Of West #1, Age Of Ultron #3, Injustice: Gods Among Us #3, Superior Spider-Man #6AU and Teen Titans #18 top the charts, as retailers struggle to get extra copies. Obviously the Death of Damian Wayne has given a number of titles a boost, but East Of West looks like it will be a day one sellout. Injustice Of The Gods was criminally underordered because it was a digital first comic, and Age Of Ultron is picking up consumer interest as its publiucation approached. Also of note in the chart is Five Weapons #2 and Dia De Los Muertos after the success of their first issues, and the now-delayed X-Men #1 may only exacerbate the demand.
For books that have already shipped, DC overprinted Batman Inc #8 allowing for post publication reorders to take it to the top of the chart, the JLA 52 pack is the cheapest way for retailers to reorder the comic (and the high combined prince point also pushes it up that chart) and DC still have copies of Batman #17 to order. Amidst the Walking Dead, DC is showing how choice overprints can avoid money being left on the table.
